The BioSénior project was created to give more experienced citizens the opportunity to visit and learn more about the natural values of the municipality. This programme is entirely dedicated to valuing and integrating traditional knowledge into current nature conservation practices. During the Pandemic, the initiatives took place outdoors and with the proper precautions required at this time. This activity aimed to foster knowledge about the invasive exotic plants present in the municipality of Lousada among the senior citizens. The environmental impacts and ways to mitigate this problem were also presented.
