Volunteers have played a vital role in raising awareness about coronavirus in Thessaloniki, Greece. Through their volunteer work, these people communicated with citizens and provided them with accurate and reliable information about coronavirus, the measures to be taken to protect themselves from the disease, and the alternatives that were available.
In addition, the volunteers encouraged citizens to follow recovery plans and to continue to adhere to health authorities’ instructions, such as washing their hands frequently, wearing masks, and keeping their distance.
